About
Built by founders,
for founders.
Punt started from a simple frustration: there was no good place for founders to share what they were actually building. LinkedIn is for polished career updates. Twitter is noise. Product Hunt is for launch day. Nothing was built for the messy, honest, day-to-day process of building a startup.
Where it came from
The idea came out of conversations in founder communities — accelerators, co-working spaces, Slack groups — where the most valuable thing was always the same: founders being honest with each other about what was working, what stack they were using, where they were stuck.
That signal was everywhere but scattered. A message here, a tweet there. No single place you could go to follow someone's building journey from idea to launch, see exactly what tools they were using, or reach out for a 30-minute chat.
Punt is that place.
What it is
Punt is a social platform for startup founders. Not a job board, not a pitch deck repository, not another place to post thought leadership. It is a feed — structured, searchable, and built around the rhythms of actually building a company.
Post your journey
Log what you're building with structured post types — from stack updates and milestone hits to product launches and co-founder searches.
Discover your stack
See exactly what tools other founders are using in production, filtered by stage, category, and sector.
Meet your people
Find co-founders, early advisors, beta users, and friends. Book a coffee chat directly from any profile.
Get on the radar
Build in public and let your traction speak. Punt surfaces your profile to investors, partners, and collaborators who are actively looking.
Who it is for
Punt is for founders who build in public — or who want to. The first-time founder trying to find their co-founder. The solo builder who wants their milestones to mean something beyond a private spreadsheet. The second-time founder who knows the value of the network and wants to contribute to it.
It is not for everyone. It is for the people who are actually building.
Why Punt?
A punt is a flat-bottomed boat propelled by a pole. You stand at the back, plant the pole, and push. It takes balance, effort, and a bit of trust that the next push will work. It is a distinctly human way of moving forward — no engine, no autopilot, just momentum built one push at a time.
That felt right for what we are building.
